The Seventh China-Britain Economic and Trade Commission Trade & Investment Working Grouping Meeting and China-Britain Medical Innovation and Technical Corporation Seminar was Hold in Suzhou Industrial Park
The Seventh China-Britain Economic and Trade Commission Trade & Investment Working Grouping Meeting and China-Britain Medical Innovation and Technical Corporation Seminar was Hold in Suzhou Industrial Park Biotech Development Co., Ltd on August 8, 2014.Clive Allcorn, British Consulate-General Shanghai of UK Trade & Investment attended this conference with a total number of 30 people from 13 British life science and medical technology enterprises and organizations.
Xu Ming, Vice Chairman of CCCMHPIE attended the conference on behalf of the CCCMHPIE, a leading organization on China side. More than 30 people from about 20 medical technological enterprises in Suzhou Industrial Park took part in the activities as well. And attendees on behalf of the Park were Yu Jiqiang, Director of science and technology bureau, Zhang Dongchi, Deputy Director and Yin Jianguo, Chief of the biological medicine division.
Xu Ming and Clive Allcorn, on behalf of the leading departments of China and Britan, jointly hosted the conference. Both sides exchanged views on how to strengthen the corporation between China and Britain. Both of them believed that the communication on biological medicine and advanced medical technology should be promoted and corporation in service trade and technology transformation should also be strengthened and meanwhile a discussion on the possibility of setting up a healthcare corporation fund should be held.
Additionally, they thought each of them should make the advantages of academic, industry and scientific institutions and syndicate all the available resources and by which the working group would play an important role consistently.
Representatives of Britain in Guangzhou and Shanghai also attended the conference. Cai Tianzhi, Vice Secretary of CCCMHPIE, also attended this conference. Yin Jianguo participated in communications on behalf of the Park. Afterwards a China-Britain Medical Innovation and Technological Corporation Seminar was jointly held by China and Britain. Xu Ming, Clive Allcorn and Yu Jiqiang gave the opening speech respectively. And then both sides make an introduction on their markets, technologies, NHS system and China-British R&D corporation, strengthening the enterprises’ understanding about corporation between two countries. On the afternoon, the representatives were taken to visit the Industrial Park and the Park’s staff made detailed introduction about the Park plan, supportive policies, platform building and some good businesses.
Apart from this, they also conducted a one-to-one negotiation. The active atmosphere showed that both sides had a strong desire for corporation. This conference would lay a solid foundation for a broader and deeper corporation in fields of biological medicine and medical treatment.
