Dr. Xu Ming,vice president of CCCMHPIE visited Ministry of International Trade of British Columbia Canada on 15th Jan., and had talks with officials responsible for life science field on related issues.


Dr. Xu introduced the landscape of Chinese healthcare Industry and the global strategies of Chinese pharmaceutical companies. He pointed out that Chinese and Canadian pharmaceutical enterprises were high complementary with huge potential in cooperation. “As the largest industry chamber in China’s medical trade area, CCCMHPIE will provide excellent services for the companies of both sides on R&D, technology transfer, introduction of products, investment & acquisition, etc. ,” Dr. Xu said.


Ms. Nina Cagic, director of Technology and Innovation Branch of Ministry of International Trade, BC introduced the current situation of life science sector in BC and demands of cooperating with Chinese companies.


In 2014, life science industry contributed 12 percent to BC’s GDP and accounted for 14 percent of direct hiring in BC. There are many small life science companies with strong R&D capabilities in BC which are eager to find capital, talents and strategic partners. Furthermore, there are more than 50 clinical trial centers in BC. Both Dr. Xu and Ms. Cagic believed that there is huge potential in mutually beneficial cooperation in life science industry and both sides would strengthen cooperation with each other.
