China-U.S. Pharmaceutical Enterprises Business Conference Held in San Francisco

A Chinese pharmaceutical business delegation led by Dr. Xu Ming, vice president of CCCMHPIE, visited San Francisco, U.S., from 10 to 14, Jan. With the help of Economic and Commercial Section Chinese Consulate General in San Francisco, Zhejiang Chamber of Commerce USA, SVC Angel, the BayHelix Group, BioCentury, etc., the delegation attended the 34th annual J.P. Morgan Health Care Conference and conducted a series of constructive business activities.
On Jan. 13, the China-US Pharmaceutical Enterprises Business Conference was held in San Francisco. Mr. Yang Yihang, Commercial Counselor of Economic and Commercial Section Chinese Consulate General in San Francisco addressed the conference. Mr. Yang pointed out that the cooperation in the field of healthcare between China and United States had a solid foundation and a broad prospect.
Dr. Xu Ming introduced the landscape of Chinese healthcare Industry in the speech, and highlighted that the huge potential markets of China and the US provide great opportunities for enterprises from both countries. He also mentioned that Chinese and American enterprises would enhance cooperation in various areas such as joint R&D, introduction of products, technology transfer, production outsourcing and building joint-venture, etc. “As an industry chamber, CCCMHPIE would like to provide more services to the China-US healthcare cooperation”, he said.
Dr. Yu Guoliang, executive president of Zhejiang Chamber of Commerce USA introduced the US BioPharma Industry. The Chinese companies including Chengdu Kanghong Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Hisun Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Medicine Co., Ltd., Tasly Holding Group, Luoxin Pharmaceutical and American companies including Genentech, Nvigen etc., introduced themselves respectively. Afterwards, industry representatives from both sides communicated with each other and created new links. More than 50 representatives from China and the US attended the conference.
