On the afternoon of June 19, the 8th “China -World” Pharmaceutical CEO Summit grandly opened at Shanghai International Convention Center on the eve of the 17th CPhI China. The theme of the Summit is “Internationalization of China’s Pharmaceutical Industry: Examples and Actions”. Over 200 representatives from pharmaceutical companies, pharmaceutical and healthcare investment institutions and professional media attended.
Tan Shengcai, Secretary General of China Chamber of Commerce for Import & Export of Medicines & Health Products (CCCMHPIE), served as the moderator. Zhou Hui, President of CCCMHPIE, and Chris Kilbee, Portfolio Director Pharma of UBM EMEA, delivered opening speeches.

At the Summit, Xu Ming, Vice President of CCCMHPIE, officially released the Blue Book on Internationalization of China’s Pharmaceutical Industry and invited the following persons to unveil the Blue Book: Yan Bing, Vice President of CCCMHPIE and Vice General Manager of China Sinopharm International Corporation (Sinopharm), Jiang Zhenwei, Chairman of Shanghai Medicines & Health Products Import & Export Co., Ltd., Teng Xiao, Chairman of High Hope International Group Jiangsu Medicines and Health Products Import & Export Co., Ltd., Shan Mengchun, Vice General Manager of Ninhua Group Co., Ltd, Li Chunbo, Chairman of Zhejiang Medicine, and Guo Bin, Chairman of Zhejiang Chemicals Import & Export Corporation.
Yang Changyong, Vice Director of Foreign Trade Department General Office in National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), gave a keynote speech on “Current Macroeconomic Situation at home and abroad and Foreign Trade Development Trend”.
Afterwards, Meng Dongping, Vice President of CCCMHPIE released the 2017 Award for Top 100 Internationalized Pharmaceutical Companies. Three representatives from awarded companies: United Laboratories (Zhuhai), FarmaSino Pharmaceuticals (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd. and BTP Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. shared their winning thoughts.
Participants also attended a seminar on the all-round internationalization of China’s pharmaceutical industry. The seminar was moderated by Zhang Beibei, Deputy Director of Department of Strategic Planning of CCCMHPIE.
