The 2018 China Healthcare Products Expo (CHEXPO ASEAN) has kicked off in Jakarta, Indonesia on Nov. 28th, 2018.
The expo aims to promote stronger economic cooperation between China and ASEAN countries in healthcare and medicine sector.
The expo showcases the latest healthcare products, medicine, health technology, medical supplies and equipments, diagnostic instruments and health laboratory supplies.
"The demand for healthcare products in Indonesia is rising. Indonesia imported many healthcare products and equipments. After years of development, China's healthcare companies have gained industrial advantages. I believe China and Indonesia can achieve win-win cooperation in the healthcare sector," WANG LIPING, Economic Minister Counselor of the Chinese embassy in Indonesia said.
The expo also highlights traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) which now has developed into modern medication system, capable to complement with chemical substance-based medicines in health services.
“Chinese medicines are quite good, especially the herbs. And I came to the expo to see what they offer", a visitor said.
The event runs till Nov. 30th in Jakarta International Expo.
