The delegation directed by Xu Ming, the vice-president of the China Chamber of Commerce of Medicines and Health Products Imports and Exports visited the Ministry of Health of Romania on June 12. The Secretary of Health of Romania, Mr. Gabriel-Florin, and China’s counsellor to the Romania Dealer, Mr. Liu Qiwei received the delegation with warm welcome. As the representative of domestic pharmaceutical enterprises, Shen Jingjian, the CEO of Beijing Sciecure Pharma Corporation, Ltd and Mr. Liang Wei, the regional director (East Central Europe) of Mindray Medical International Limited attended the meeting. The other attendees include Ms. Oana C鉻鉲ina Grigore, the Department of Media Relations & European Affairs & International Relations; Mr. Mihai Stoian, the business director of Antibiotice Company, Ms. Mihaela, the director of the department of health and Ms. Elena, the researcher of Bureau of National Public Health.
Romanian side thought highly of the visit of CCCMHPIE and expressed that each communication between the two sides all brought more values on the development of bilateral relationship. The vice-president, Xu Ming pointed out that the main purpose of this visit is to exploit the cooperation potential in the sector of health, especially the cooperation on the research, production and distribution of health products. With the pace of internalization of Chinese enterprises speeding up, more and more outstanding Chinese health products eager to step into the rapidly growing emerging market. As the industrial organizer, the Chamber of Commerce also encourages Chinese enterprises to proactively invest overseas and build up cooperation prospects with mutual benefits. Then, the vice-president Xu Ming introduced the overall situation of the pharmaceutical trading between China and Romania and suggested to intensify the cooperation. He suggested that both sides can intensify the cooperation in the following areas:
First, encourage more first-rate Chinese health product into Romanian market, including western preparations, medical apparatus and instruments and traditional Chinese medicines. Second, hope the both sides of Chinese and Romania enterprises to discuss the cooperation in the third-party market. Third, both sides can seek the cooperation on health traveling based on the advantage of Romanian hot spring. Fourth, encourage more Chinese pharmaceutical enterprises invest in Romania. While the Romanian side hoped Romania could be the bridge connecting China and European countries. In the current phase, the Minister of Health of Romania has formulated the 2014-2020 National Health Strategy, and meanwhile, they continuously optimize its health system and the corresponding system of medicine supply, which will guarantee the supply of basic medicine and maximize the well-being of the patients. The Romanian side gave a positive response to the suggestion of vice-president Xu Ming about the cooperation, and they thought the cooperation way can be more diversified. The delegation of CCCMHPIE also visited the Romanian Administration Bureau of Medicines and Medical Instruments, and Mr. Marius, the vice-president of the bureau, and Ms. Nela Vilceanu, the director of the Department of Proceeding attended the meeting. Both sides exchanged opinions on the procedure and time used in the European medicine registeration, as well as the the registeration situation of Chinese enterprises. Mr. Marius showed that he hoped to see more Chinese medicine, especially the biomedicine products registered in Romania.
The enterprise representatives and Romanian side also exchange opinions on the medicine registeration, circulation and cooperation in key sector during this visit. This visit has laid a solid foundation for the following cooperation in health sector between China and Romania.
