The Sixth Session of “China and the World” Pharmaceutical Entrepreneur Summit Opens

The Sixth Session of “China and the World” Pharmaceutical Summit(hereinafter referred to as “Summit”), co-organized by UBM EMEA and CCCMHPIE was held in Shanghai International Convention Center on June 23.
Nowadays, China’s economy has entered a slow-growing pattern of “New Normal”, under which the pharmaceutical industry faced new challenges and choices. This summit, with the theme of “the Wisdom and Action of China’s Pharmaceutical Industrial Transformation under the New Normal” is a good opportunity for the industrial leaders at home and abroad to discuss the future plan.
Liu Zhanglin, the vice president of China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Medicines and Health Products, pointed out in the speech that domestic pharmaceutical industry has gained lots of valuable experiences and strengthened the say in the international pharmaceutical market by taking active part in the international labor division. However, with the profound change taken place in the global pharmaceutical industrial pattern and the surfacing of deep-rooted structural problems in our pharmaceutical development, the existing industrial pattern is no longer able to safeguard the domestic pharmaceutical economic development. Therefore, seize the new opportunity in the globalization to advance the upgrading and transformation of pharmaceutical industrial structure is of great importance and significance.
The Summit is composed of two thematic panels: one is named as “Policy and Direction of Pharmaceutical Industrial Transformation”, the other is called “The Sword of Transformation——Innovation and Capital Operation”. Panel one was presided by Ms. Meng Dongping, the vice president of CCCMHPIE and the panelists, including Mr. Guo Yunpei, the vice president of CPEMA; Mr. Pan Guangcheng, the vice president of CPIA; Mr. Bai Hua, CEO of Hisun Pharma.;Mr. Wang Jie, the vice president of Huahai Pharma and Mr. Ge Mengya, CEO of the ApeloaKangyu held a hot discussion on the topics like “pharmaceutical industrial transformation under the ‘New Normal’”, “government’s role and policy guidance in pharmaceutical industrial transformation and upgrading”, “trend and hot topics of drug supervision in China and overseas under the new conditions”, “problem and outlet of API industrial transformation”, etc..Mr. Guo Yunpei gave the keynote on the panel.
Panel two was presided by Mr. Xu Ming, the vice president of CCCMHPIE, and the panelists including Mr. Wu Bojun, the president of School of Business of ECUST； Mr. Xu Xiaoyang,the president of Sino Biopharm; Mr. Bai Xueli, the China president of Intertek;Mr. Jiang Hua, the vice president of Luye Pharma Group; Mr. Song Aigang, the vice general manager of Luoxin Group;and Ms. Liu Xin, the general manager of Greater Pacific Capital, talked about questions like “breakthrough in China’s pharmaceutical industrial transformation and innovation”; “industrial chain integration improving profitability of enterprises”; “innovation creating core competitiveness, transformation and upgrading changing competition situation”; “capital as an important driving force for industrial restructuring”, etc. Mr. Xu Xiaoyang gave the keynote on the panel.
Meanwhile, the Summit also released the award list of Leading API Exporters in 2014, Leading API Exporters, CPhI Gold-medal API Exhibitors, and Outstanding Figures for API Export.
The Summit was presided by Mr. Tan Shengcai, the secretary general of the CCCMHPIE.
