Vice President Meng Dongping Attends the 2nd China-ASEAN Industry Cooperation Meeting in Kunming

    From July 2nd to 4th, Vice President Meng Dongping of CCCMHPIE attended the 2nd China-ASEAN Industry Cooperation Meeting held in Kunming, Yunnan Province, and delivered a speech titled “China-ASEAN Medicine Trade: Cooperation and Mutual Benefits”. Co-hosted by the Chinese Secretariat of CABC and Kunming Municipal Government, the meeting received a total of over 200 representatives from Associations and Chambers of Commerce of ASEAN Nations, ASEAN embassies in China, as well as Associations and Chambers of Commerce of domestic industries, etc.
    In the speech, Vice President Meng Dongping expounded on the status quo of China’s medicine industry and trade, recommended and introduced some excellent enterprises, analyzed the industry characteristics of China-ASEAN medicine trade and provided suggestions for improving China-ASEAN medicine industry cooperation. She pointed out that, China and ASEAN, with rising medicine market, both have vigorous power in developing domestic medicine industries. Only by strengthening the cooperation on medicine trade between China and ASEAN can we create more opportunities for further development and achieve a win-win situation. She added, as the most influential organization in China’s medicine foreign trade industry, CCCMHPIE has made a lot of efforts in helping enterprises to explore international markets, especially new markets, and promote international exchanges and communications. In the future, more efforts will be made in accordance with the needs of the development of domestic medicine industry, on facilitating the cooperation and development of China-ASEAN medicine trade.
    The lecture was warmly received by the audiences. Leaders of Associations and Chambers of Commerce of Cambodia, Malaysia and Vietnam, etc, exchanged ideas with representatives of CCCMHIPIE and expressed their wishes to further strengthen communications between each other. During the meeting, Vice President Meng also had special talks with Mr. Xie, deputy secretary general of Cambodian Chamber of Commerce of Hong Kong and Macao Compatriots, and exchanged views about further cooperation.
