From August 28^th to September 2^nd, in accordance with Chinese government’s general work deployment of “Quality-improving Year of Foreign-Trade Commodities”, a large delegation of Chinese pharmaceutical enterprises committed by China Ministry of Commerce visited Russia, and successfully held “Industrial Cooperation between China and Russia –Promotion Conference for Chinese Pharmaceutical Products” on August 30^th. The delegation was led by Meng Dongping, Vice Chairman of CCCMHPIE.

The delegation, composed of over 60 representatives from 34 pharmaceutical enterprises, including 9 professional pharmaceutical foreign trade companies, 14 western medicine production and management enterprises, as well as 11 TCM production and management enterprises, is the first large Chinese pharmaceutical enterprise delegation visiting Russia. Over 200 Russian pharmaceutical personages attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Vice Chairman Meng Dongping delivered a keynote speech. Her speech, being frank and pragmatic, won high praise from the audiences. Representatives from both China and Russia agreed that this meeting, of high level and strong authority, not only expressed the willingness of Chinese enterprises, but also delivered the voice of Russian enterprises, and provided a platform for further cooperation on pharmaceuticals between China and Russia.

During synchronously-held multi-party meeting of Chinese and Russian pharmaceutical enterprises, a total of 34 Chinese representative enterprises talked with Russian purchasers. Russian representative enterprises expressed keen interests in Chinese advantageous API products, biological innovative pharmaceutical products, traditional Chinese medical products and pharmaceutical equipment. They also wished that new cooperation pattern could be set up between each other to improve Medical Treatment and Public Health services in both countries.

From September 3^rd to 7^th, the Chinese pharmaceutical enterprises delegation visits Estonia and carries out full and wide-ranging communications with local counterparts.
