JETC Healthcare Trade & Investment Working Group Fifth Annual Meeting Holds

In order to promote the communications and cooperation on Medicinal Biotechnology between China and the UK, propel the value transformation of innovative technology in medical industry chain, and strengthen the exchanges among medical enterprises from both countries, JETC Healthcare Trade & Investment Working Group Fifth Annual Meeting & “Partners for Growth——UK-China Forum on Know-How Transfer” was held in Beijing on September 27th. Chairman Ni Rulin of CCCMHPIE and Robert Driver, Head of HiTech Sectors, UKTI, co-hosted the meeting.
At the meeting, both parties discussed in depth about the issues like medical innovation, technology transfer, modernization of TCM, and e-health. Experts and industry participants from Chinese and British scientific research institutes delivered speeches on BioPharma R&D and Technology Transfer, Internationalization strategy of TCM, and Transforming Traditional Medicine, etc. After the meeting, CCCMHPIE and UKTI signed the Annex under the existing MoU.
Present were 82 representatives from 37 institutes and departments including China Ministry of Commerce, State Food and Drug Administration, Beijing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology, Institute of Chinese Materia Medica China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, UKTI, British Embassy in Beijing, British national hospital R& D institutes Technology, as well as research institutes, academic institutions, and medical enterprises from both countries, etc.
