June 21, the 11th CPhI, ICSE& BioPh China and P-MEC China 2011 co-organized by CCCMHPIE and UBM opened in Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC). Accompanied by CCCMHPIE Vice President Meng Dongping and Secretary General Cui Bin, Jiang Fan, Deputy Director General of the Department of Foreign Trade and Lv Jijian, Assistant Inspector of the Department of Trade in Services and in Commercial Services at the MOFCOM visited API Exhibition Area and communicated with some of the exhibitors.
During their conversation, the exhibitors gave detailed introductions to their main products, impacts of the current global economy on their business operation, and their most-concerned policies and problems. For example, with foreign-based enterprises, the following factors exert more influence on their business, including unstable international demand, slow economic recovery in developed countries, exchange rate fluctuations, RMB appreciation, etc; as for production-oriented enterprises, rise in raw material prices, competition heat-up due to product homogenization add pressure to their business operation.
After the conversation, Deputy Director General Jiang and Assistant Inspector Lv Jijian, expressed willingness to help solve their problems and promote the industry’s development.
