June 21 saw the opening of the 2011 “China and World” Medical Forum organized by CCCMHPIE in Shanghai. Mr. Liu Zhanglin, CCCMHPIE Vice President delivered the opening speech at the Forum. This event was supported by Ministry of Commerce of China, WHO, UK Trade and Investment Agency, Brazil API Association and other research institutes.
The two-day forum consists of ten main forums and two sub-forums—“Pharmaceutical Equipments” Forum and "Plant Extracts Development and Innovation of China" Forum, respectively. The forum agenda covers issues like the 12th Five-Year Plan in China, pharmaceutical laws and regulations in China and other countries, the international pharmaceutical market, and R&D trend, etc. Officers from relevant government departments, business association representatives, industry professionals, and corporate executives were invited to deliver keynote speeches, in order to give policy interpretations and analyses on hot-spot issues. The main forum was hosted by Mr. Tan Shengcai, Deputy Secretary General of CCCMHPIE.
About 200 representatives from pharmaceutical enterprises attended the main forum, and discussed with speakers over hot issues of the pharmaceutical industry.
