The 11th CPhI China was held from June 21 to 23 in Shanghai. The number of plant extracts exhibitors reached 180, maintaining the growth momentum of previous years. According to these exhibitors, the number of contractors and buyers continued to rise, and the market outlook continued to improve.
According to Luo Yang, Director of TCM Department of CCCMHPIE, plant extracts export registered prosperous results in the first quarter of 2011. Import and export value reached $ 310 million, an increase of 46.4% year-on-year, among which export value reached $ 270 million, an increase of 53.4% year-on-year. The share of plant extracts among TCM exports was 48.4%, and continued to rise. Plant extract export is expected to hit a record amount this year.
