The first meeting of the China-Africa Health Collaboration Taskforce held

  January 15, 2013, the first meeting of the China-Africa Health Collaboration Taskforce was held at Peking university Health Science Center, Beijing. The meeting was held to implement high-level communication in China-Africa health medical field. This topic was put forward by the fifth ministerial conference of China-Africa cooperation forum.

  As representatives of the project led unit, Ren Minghui, Director of the International Cooperation Division at Ministry of Health and Xu Ming, Deputy Director of CCCMHPIE attended the meeting.
  The meeting listened to the working report in the first stage of the AIDS、malaria working group, etc. Mr. Xu Ming shared his opinion on the topic of products supply in the important parts of the project. He said when China's medical products enter the African markets, risk assessment、channel construction、competitor research、strategic research should be the main part of cooperation between Chinese and African counterparts. He also indicated that CCCMHPIE would discuss with related companies on the possibility of building Chinese products’ testing centers、marketing centers、exhibition centers、after-sales service centers.
  The 4th China-Africa international congress will be held in Botswana May, 2014. The CCCMHPIE will organize a Chinese delegation to attend the meeting next year and talk with African governments、distributors and research institutions. 
  Representatives from UNICEF、UNFPA、UNAIDS and WHO participated the meeting.
